University of Wyoming Calendar for June 18

These are among the activities scheduled June 18-24 at the University of Wyoming:

Tuesday, June 19, 7 p.m. -- UW Planetarium full-dome movie, “Phantom of the Universe: The Hunt for Dark Matter.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Wednesday, June 20, 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. -- Indie rock and country band The Lonesome Heroes will perform for the UW Summer Concert Series on Simpson Plaza. Free.

Thursday, June 21, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. -- The UW Art Museum will host its annual summer solstice celebration. A variety of activities will take place. Free.

Friday, June 22, 7:30 p.m. -- A Wyoming Summer Flute Intensive faculty recital will take place in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts recital hall. Free.

Friday, June 22, 8 p.m. -- UW Planetarium show, “E.T. and the Search for Extraterrestrial Life.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Saturday, June 23, 11 a.m. -- UW Planetarium show, “Our Perfect Earth.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Dinosaur skeletons, ancient mammal fossils and other exhibits are on display in the UW Geological Museum. The museum is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.

The UW Department of Botany’s Williams Conservatory is open to the public Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
