Wyoming Conference on Aging Oct. 2

Up-to-date information on a variety of topics important to older adults and the professionals, family and friends in their lives will be shared during the 2018 Wyoming Conference on Aging at the University of Wyoming’s Conference Center.

The conference includes national and regional speakers, interactive and panel sessions, vendor exhibits and breakout sessions. Topics to be discussed are healthy aging/community aging projects throughout Wyoming, dementia/Alzheimer's, opioids and medication safety, and hoarding, plus support presentations for caregivers.

The conference will increase awareness of current and emerging challenges around aging in Wyoming, according to the event’s organizers.

The conference will help to develop an aging network of providers and partners who advocate to realign and modernize current aging programs and networks; to train providers in becoming more efficient and effective in their performance that will meet the future needs of baby boomers, while improving services to current older adults; and to increase awareness of aging programs and services on regional and national levels.

Cost is $50 per day Oct. 3-4, or $100 for both days. A preconference training for health care/professional services providers will be offered Tuesday, Oct. 2, at a cost of $35.

The conference also will be offered through host sites around the region. For more information, or to register, visit the conference’s website by clicking here.
