A workshop to help attendees learn the tools for understanding different cultures is scheduled at the University of Wyoming Thursday, Dec. 13.
The UW Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion sponsors the “Cultural Competence: Beginner Level” workshop at 1 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Family Room. The session is open to the campus community, including students. Light refreshments will be served.
Registration is required by visiting www.uwyo.edu/diversity/index-cultural-competence-workshop.html.
The UW Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is offering a series of diverse workshops during the fall and spring semesters.
“This is a series of cultural competence workshops for employees,” says Emily Monago, UW’s chief diversity officer who leads all of the workshops. “The series covers knowledge, awareness, skill-building, actions and work practices.”
Three more workshops are planned for the spring semester, with the next session scheduled Feb. 12.
