Monday, March 11, 3:10 p.m. -- The UW Department of Geology and Geophysics Distinguished Lecturer Series presents Joseph Licciardi, from the University of New Hampshire. He will discuss “History and Dynamics of Late Pleistocene Glaciation in Greater Yellowstone and the Teton Range” in the S.H. Knight Geology Building, Room 216. A reception will follow in the UW Geological Museum. Free.

Tuesday, March 12, 12:20 p.m. -- The UW Division of Kinesiology and Health’s Intellectual Community Seminar Series presents Erin Neil and Gabby Masucci, Denver co-leaders of the November Project. They will discuss “More Than Burpees and Hill Repeats: Connection and Community Through Free Fitness.” The talk will take place in the Corbett Building, Room 137. Free.

Tuesday, March 12, 7 p.m. -- UW Harry C. Vaughan Planetarium full-dome double feature: “The Dark Matter Mystery: Exploring a Cosmic Secret” and “Phantom of the Universe: The Hunt for Dark Matter.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Wednesday, March 13, 7 p.m. -- A community engagement play reading and discussion of Lisa Peterson and Denis O’Hare’s “An Iliad” will be presented in the Phoenix Ballroom, located in Suite 271 of the Laramie Plains Civic Center. UW’s Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Laramie’s Relative Theatrics will present the “Read, Rant, Relate” community engagement event. Free.

Thursday, March 14, 5 p.m. -- Alison Jaggar, a college professor of distinction at the University of Colorado-Boulder, will deliver the Women’s History Month Distinguished Lecture. She will discuss relations among nationalism, liberalism and feminism in the context of debates about immigration. Her talk will take place in the Alice Hardie Stevens Event Center, located at 603 E. Ivinson Ave. A reception will follow. The UW Gender and Women’s Studies Program sponsors the event. Free.

Thursday, March 14, 7 p.m. -- The UW Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources’ Distinguished Speaker Series presents Jerry Blann, former president and CEO of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. He will discuss “The Future of the Ski Industry” in the UW College of Business Building, Room 123. A reception will precede his talk at 6:15 p.m. Free.

Thursday, March 14, 7 p.m. -- StudioWYO presents local indie folk band The Woodpile. Singer-songwriter Nina de Freitas, of Nina and The Hold Tight, is the opening act. The show will take place in The Gardens, located in the lower level of the Wyoming Union. Free.

Thursday, March 14, 7:30 p.m. -- UW Presents welcomes the Jeff Hamilton Trio, headlining UW’s Jazz Festival, in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall. Tickets cost $15 for the public; $12 for senior citizens and UW faculty and staff; and $10 for students. Sunday, March 17, 1 p.m. -- UW’s Exercise is Medicine On Campus presents “Walk with a Doc” in War Memorial Fieldhouse. Walk with a Doc is a national organization focused on encouraging healthy physical activity while reversing the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle. Free.
