University of Wyoming Calendar for March 18

These are among the activities scheduled March 18-24 at the University of Wyoming:

Monday, March 18-Friday, March 22 -- UW classes are dismissed for spring break, but most business and administrative offices will remain open.

Tuesday, March 19, 7 p.m. -- UW Harry C. Vaughan Planetarium full-dome double feature: “The Dark Matter Mystery: Exploring a Cosmic Secret” and “Phantom of the Universe: The Hunt for Dark Matter.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204, or by going online at www.uwyo.edu/physics and clicking on “Planetarium Schedule.”

Wednesday, March 20, 11 a.m. -- UW Harry C. Vaughan Planetarium show, “Two Small Pieces of Glass.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204, or by going online at www.uwyo.edu/physics and clicking on “Planetarium Schedule.”

Wednesday, March 20, noon -- The University of Wyoming’s American Heritage Center will host noted Wyoming author C.J. Box for his latest novel, “Wolf Pack.” Box’s talk will be in the Stock Growers Room, followed by a book signing. Copies of the novel will be sold at the site by the University Store. The event is free.

Friday, March 22, 7 p.m. -- UW Harry C. Vaughan Planetarium show, “Constellations Across Cultures: Part 1.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement.
