University of Wyoming Calendar for May 20

These are among the activities scheduled May 20-26 at the University of Wyoming:

Monday, May 20 -- Summer hours (7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) for UW business and administrative offices will begin.

Monday, May 20, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. -- UW Libraries will host a photogrammetry lecture in Coe Library, Room 506. Three experts from Cultural Heritage Imaging will discuss photogrammetry, a way to build 3-D models using a camera and basic software. Free.

Friday, May 24, 8 p.m. -- UW Harry C. Vaughan Planetarium show, “Humanity’s First Picture of a Black Hole.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204, or by going online at www.uwyo.edu/physics and clicking on “Planetarium Schedule.”

A variety of exhibitions can be seen at the UW Art Museum in the Centennial Complex, located at 2111 E. Willett Drive in Laramie. The museum is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday hours are extended to 7 p.m. Free.

Dinosaur skeletons, ancient mammal fossils and other exhibits are on display in the UW Geological Museum. The museum is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.

The UW Department of Botany’s Williams Conservatory is open to the public Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
