University of Wyoming Calendar for June 10

These are among the activities scheduled June 10-16 at the University of Wyoming:

Tuesday, June 11, 7 p.m. -- UW Harry C. Vaughan Planetarium full-dome movie, “Seeing!” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204, or by going online at www.uwyo.edu/physics and clicking on “Planetarium Schedule.”

Tuesday, June 11-Saturday, June 15, 7:30 p.m. -- The 2019 UW Snowy Range Summer Theatre season opens with “First Date,” a lighthearted musical comedy. Performances will take place in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts Thrust Theatre. Tickets cost $10 for the public and $7 for students, senior citizens and children over 5. Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more people. Wednesday, June 12, 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. -- J Shogren Shanghai’d Duo, an Americana band, will perform for the UW Summer Concert Series on Simpson Plaza. Free.

A variety of exhibitions can be seen at the UW Art Museum in the Centennial Complex, located at 2111 E. Willett Drive in Laramie. The museum is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday hours are extended to 7 p.m. Free.

Dinosaur skeletons, ancient mammal fossils and other exhibits are on display in the UW Geological Museum. The museum is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.

The UW Department of Botany’s Williams Conservatory is open to the public Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
