Laramie Civic Chorus, Community Concert Band to Perform at UW Nov. 11

The University of Wyoming’s Community Concert Band and Civic Chorus will present “An American Life” at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall.

Directed by UW Department of Music faculty members Holly Dalrymple and Robert Belser, the Laramie Civic Chorus and Community Concert Band will perform a selection of songs that commemorates Veterans Day.

Tickets cost $10 for the public, $7 for senior citizens and $6 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the Performing Arts box office and the Wyoming Union information desk, by calling (307) 766-6666 or by going online at www.uwyo.edu/finearts.

The Laramie Civic Chorus will perform John Corigliano's “Fern Hill,” based on the poem by Dylan Thomas. The song will feature mezzo-soprano soloist Katrina Zook, a UW music faculty member. The evening will close with a tribute to veterans in a combined performance with the band and chorus.
