UW Staff Award Nominations Accepted Through Feb. 14

Nominations are being accepted through Friday, Feb. 14, for the University of Wyoming’s staff awards to be presented during Staff Recognition Day.

Nomination forms for each Staff Senate-sponsored award and the value of prizes can be found at www.uwyo.edu/staffsenate/recognition/awards.

All award winners will be honored at Staff Recognition Day Tuesday, March 24, in the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center. “Party Under the Big Top” is the theme for this year’s event.

UW employees have a maximum of 2.5 hours of release time to attend the annual event honoring the hardworking staff of UW. It provides an opportunity to show all staff members how much they are appreciated for everything they do to keep the main UW campus, and throughout the state, functioning and providing a top-notch educational experience to thousands of students.

The scheduling of release time should be a collaborative discussion between employee and supervisor to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the unit.

-- All-Star Team Staff Award.

-- E.G. Meyer Family Award.

-- Jodi K. Humphrey Inspirational Staff Award.

-- Unsung Hero Award.

-- Off-Campus Award.

-- Pete Simpson Golden Gloves Award.

-- Skilled Trades Award.

-- Custodian of the Year Award.

-- Supervisor of the Year Award.

-- True Grit Award.
