UW, Wyoming SBDC Network to Host Lunch and Learn Event About Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program

Small-business owners in Wyoming can learn about the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program during a “Lunch and Learn” event with the Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network’s Procurement Technical Assistance Center.

Tiffanie Williams will discuss the subject during an online workshop titled “Wyoming Department of Transportation Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Certification” Wednesday, Oct. 26, from noon-1 p.m. The DBE is a certification program under the U.S. Department of Transportation for minority and/or women-owned, -operated and -controlled firms that are involved in highway and airport construction.

Williams is the DBE program coordinator for the Wyoming Department of Transportation. She served seven and a half years in the U.S. Air Force and worked for nine and a half years as a human resources director for a skilled nursing facility. Williams has a bachelor’s degree in management and a master’s degree in management, with a focus in human resources. She also holds a Society for Human Resource Management certified professional certification.
