UW Winter Commencement Dec. 10

The University of Wyoming will accord degrees to over 800 students during a combined winter commencement ceremony Saturday, Dec. 10, at 9:30 a.m. in the Arena-Auditorium.

The new graduates include 581 undergraduate students, 235 graduate students, six College of Law students and one School of Pharmacy student.

The keynote speaker is Dave Denniston, a U.S. Paralympic athlete, former world record holder, NCAA champion athlete and current head coach of the UW swimming and diving program.

The student speaker is Elizabeth Erickson, of Cheyenne, who is graduating with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in biology.

Attendees are encouraged to be seated inside the Arena-Auditorium by 9:30 a.m., and tickets are not required for attendees. The ceremony will be livestreamed via YouTube and WyoCast. Livestream links are posted at

Graduates participating in commencement need to gather at War Memorial Fieldhouse at 8:30 a.m.
