UW in the News

State, national and international media frequently feature the University of Wyoming and members of its community in stories. Here is a summary of some of the recent articles:

The Casper Star-Tribune, Laramie Boomerang, Wyoming Public Radio, Laramie Live and KGWN Television all covered UW’s media conference announcing events surrounding Matthew Shepard’s memorial this fall.

UW has sold nearly $6,000 worth of merchandise with its new slogan “The World Needs More Cowboys,” reported The CS-T.

Wyoming Public Radio interviewed Shelley Jewell, UW’s director of education abroad, who said it is important for UW students to study abroad so they can graduate with skills that come with exposure to other countries and cultures.
