After several dormant years, the garden at Linford Elementary School in Laramie, Wyoming, was revived in 2024 through a collaborative effort between UW Extension educators, Albany County 4-H, and community partners. Led by Cent$ible Nutrition Program educator Ruth Lake and Linford librarian Stefanie Hunt, the project engaged students in seed starting, transplanting, and weekly harvests — with all produce donated to a new school food pantry. Community donations of soil and wood chips helped restore the garden beds, while UW Extension agriculture educator Brenna Litynski contributed her expertise.
