Sam grew up in Wheatland, Wyoming and later attended Barry University in Miami, Florida where she earned her degree in pre-professional biology and minor in chemistry. She was first drawn to medicine when she noticed a need for preventative care and patient education in her own community. After volunteering abroad in rural India, Sam’s interest grew into a passion for nutrition and overall health and wellness. She hopes to be a leading example to her future patients by practicing good nutrition, exercise, and other healthy habits. Unsure of which specialty she will follow, Sam is excited to explore these interests as a medical student. In her free time, Sam enjoys spending time with her family, working-out, playing volleyball, being outdoors, and traveling!
