Mat was born and raised in Jackson, Wyoming and graduated from the University of Wyoming with a bachelor's in physiology. He has been working as a medical assistant at a non-profit federally qualified health center. He found the work deeply gratifying and it sparked his passion to serve others through medicine. He is currently interested in the field of primary care, though he is excited to explore other options. In his free time he enjoys almost any outdoor activity especially skiing, biking, and hiking.
