Carson was raised in Star Valley, Wyoming. Following high school, he served a two-year American Sign Language mission in Phoenix, Arizona. Carson graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2021 with a degree in molecular biology. While working in the local emergency department during college, Carson witnessed the impact a doctor can have during the vulnerable times of life. By studying the example of these excellent physicians, Carson realized that his desire to study medicine is fueled by a desire to improve the patient experience. He sees medical school as a time to not only develop clinical knowledge, but also polish and refine his bedside manner and problem solving skills. He is excited to explore various specialties throughout medical school to find the best fit for him and his family. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, fishing, and napping.
