Tech2Connect

Connecting older adults and adults with disabilities in Wyoming with remote social services, healthcare, and to combat social isolation caused by COVID.

Tech2Connect Decision Guide:  This guide will ask questions about technology wants and needs then generate an outcome report with suggestions for devices or training videos based on your responses. If you have complex needs for technology training or assistive technology, please contact Wyoming Assistive Technology Resources (WATR) for further evaluation, device suggestions, loans, and assistance.

  • Safety and Privacy: Learn how to use your safely use your device, the internet, and ensure your information is kept private.

  • Telehealth: Learn how to connect with your doctor or other healthcare provider from the comfort and safety of your own home!

    • Video Conferencing: Learn how to connect with friends, family, and others using video conferencing. 

    • Social Apps: Learn to use apps like Facebook or Instagram to keep up with friends, families, and special interest groups from a far!

The Emergency Broadband Benefit is a temporary FCC program to help households struggling to afford internet service during the pandemic!

The Federal Communications Commission has launched a temporary program to help families and households struggling to afford Internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The Emergency Broadband Benefit provides a discount of up to $50 per month toward broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers.

Eligible households can enroll through a participating broadband provider or directly with the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) using an online or mail in application.

Need extra support? 

The Tech2Connect Program is partnering with Casper College to offer Open Labs!  Participants can receive technical assistance, learn more about their devices, and get answers to their questions. Free for participants, the open labs will also feature device demonstrations.
