Preparing for the HLC Peer Reviewer Team Visit, November 18-19 2020

A team of reviewers from the Higher Learning Commission will visit UW November 18-19, 2019. While at UW, the team will hold scheduled meetings with individuals and campus groups and may also talk with members of the campus community as they move around campus. You can contribute to a positive accreditation outcome in many ways:

1. Review UW's mission at www.uwyo.edu/acadaffairs/mission/

2. Read UW's executive summary of its assurance argument, or if you have time and interest, the full assurance argument.  It’s located at www.uwyo.edu/accreditation.

3. Re-familiarize yourself with UW's strategic plan and annual updates at www.uwyo.edu/strategic-plan/

4. Be available when the HLC team is on campus. We will have a formal schedule prior to the visit after the team reads our assurance argument and knows who they want to meet with.

Here are examples of questions review team members may ask. These lists are not exhaustive, and you should expect the team to ask additional general and UW-specific questions. Please answer all questions honestly and thoughtfully while being constructive (these meetings aren’t kvetch sessions – reviewers learn nothing from negative rants). UW’s assurance argument identifies and discusses strengths and challenges UW faces, and the evaluation team will be aware of these. Your interactions with the evaluation team will reinforce our findings and provide strong evidence that we meet the Criteria for Accreditation.
