Manage an Exchange Resource

Introduction

The owner of an Exchange Resource has the ability to modify certain attributes of the resource, including who can Direct Book the resource and the times the resource is available. Procedure

Exchange Resources can only be managed by using Outlook Web App (OWA). Permissions are no longer modified on resource mailboxes by using Outlook, and doing so will cause the resource to not behave as expected.

In order to manage a resource using OWA, follow these steps:

  1. Log into OWA (Outlook Web App) with your UWYO username. See How To Access and Use Outlook Web App (www.uwyo.edu/askit/displaydoc.asp?askitdocid=153) for details on logging into OWA.
     
  2. Click once on your name in the upper right corner of the window.

  3. In the Open Other Mailbox dialog that opens enter the name of the resource you want to manage and click Open.

  4. Select Options and then See All Options… in the drop-down menu.

  5. On the options screen select Settings from the left side of window, then click the Resource button.

  6. For help with the individual configuration options, click the Help icon in the top right corner of the browser window.

Tips

  1. For more information about Resource Accounts in Outlook Web App, click the Help question mark icon at upper right, type schedule resource in the Search box, and press the Enter key.
