Install SPSS 21 from the UW Network

NOTE: Functional knowledge and use of this application is the responsibility of the user. Uninstall any existing PASW or SPSS versions before proceeding. Requirements are 1 gb of memory and approximately 800 mb of hard drive space.

NOTE: SPSS 21 is available in 32 and 64 bit versions; the 64 bit version should only be used on 64 bit Vista and 64 bit Windows 7, and is not supported for 64 bit Windows XP.

Introduction

Information Technology provides SPSS free of charge for installation on UW owned computers for academic teaching and research use only. There is no requirement for the computer to be connected to the network for the software to run, however if an individual wants to install SPSS from the network, it will need to be connected during the installation. To install SPSS from the UW network request access through the IT Software Request Form and an email containing installation instructions will be sent once access is granted.

Procedure

NOTE: You must be an administrator of the computer to complete this installation.

    1. Logon with your UWYO domain account.
