Microsoft Lync is available for use by UW employees. By default, student employees are not added to the server, but they can be added by contacting your IT user consultant (http://www.uwyo.edu/infotech/services/helpdesk/uc/).

My student employee can’t log into Lync. Why is this?

This has to do with the permissions on the server. Contact your IT user consultant (http://www.uwyo.edu/infotech/services/helpdesk/uc/) to get the permissions changed.

Can I use a web browser to attend a Lync conference – and what other Lync clients exist?

Yes, you can attend a Lync conference using Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari. Audio and video are not currently supported when attending a Lync meeting via a browser, however web browser attendees can receive audio by calling 307-766-1200 and entering the conference ID.
