Map a Drive using Mac OX Leopard

Procedure

  1. Click on your Finder.
     
  2. Click Go and choose Connect to Server...

  3. Type the command smb://servername.uwyo.edu/foldername
    1. servername is the name of the machine which contains the folder your connecting to.  (i.e.  Warehouse, uwapps, etc). 
      foldername is the name of the folder that contains the files you are trying to access.

  4. Next enter your username in this fashion with UWYO\username and your normal UW password. On MAC OS X Tiger, you will have a third field for domain where you would just put UWYO and then your username and password in the username and password fields.

  5. After you click connect, if permissions are set correctly, your files will open up and the drive will appear in your finder and on your desktop as a mounted volume.
