WyoWeb Frequently Asked Questions

WyoWeb is a central landing page that provides students, faculty and staff with access to core services and commonly used information.

How do I log into WyoWeb?

The main WyoWeb page does not require a login. Links to resources that require a login are marked with red padlocks. Clicking on any of these links will bring you to a login page where you log in using your uwyo username and password.

I clicked on a link with a red padlock but it did not ask me to login.

The new WyoWeb uses a single sign on technology which allows us to cache your username and password and log you into other systems. If you were not prompted for your username and password you have likely already logged into one of the other services on the WyoWeb page and the username and password used at that time have been passed to the new service.

Where do I go to register for classes?

The ability to register for classes can be found under the WyoRecords area of WyoWeb. Once you log into WyoRecords class registration can be accessed by clicking on the Registration button and then Add or Drop Classes.

Where do I go to look up my grades?

The ability to look up grades is found under the WyoRecords area of WyoWeb. Once you log into WyoRecords you can look up grades by clicking on the Student Records button and then Grades.

How can I see and accept my financial aid?

The ability to see and accept financial aid can be found under the WyoRecords area of WyoWeb. Once you log into WyoRecords you can view and accept your financial aid by clicking on the Financial Aid button and then Awards.

I am an employee at UW. Where do I go to access my paystub and leave balances?

UW employees can access paystubs and leave balances through the Human Resources area of WyoWeb. Once logged into Human Resources, the interface is identical to the system prior to the 5/16 upgrade.

Where do I go to access the UW Classifieds?

The UW Classifieds can now be found under the main A-Z directory on the website under "C" for classifieds. A direct link is:

I am getting a "A login process is already in progress for your current session." message. What do I do?

This message occurs if you clicked on a link that required a login but closed the tab without entering your username and password or the tab is still open. Because you clicked on a link that required a login, it started a session and that session needs to be completed or terminated to allow the login prompt to occur. Follow the instructions on the screen to terminate the session and then you can click on a link to login.

What are the current timeout limits associated with the services access through WyoWeb?

Each system accessed through WyoWeb has a separate inactivity timeout limit based on the service being used. Below are the current inactivity limits for each system. If you access one of these systems but you are not actively using them, your system will timeout and you will be logged off.

Office 365 Email: 6 hours
WyoRecords: 1 hour
WyoCourses: 8 hours
WyoGroups: 8 hours
Internet-Native Banner: 1 hour
Human Resources: 1 hour
PeopleSoft Financials: 4 hours
PeopleSoft HRMS: 1 hour

The Single Sign On (SSO) functionality has a timeout period of 1 hour of inactivity. The inactivity is based on logging in and accessing a system and not activity inside one of the systems. For example, a user logs into WyoRecords at 8am, their SSO session has a limit of one hour and will expire at 9am. If, at 8:30, the user then goes and accesses email, this is activity in the SSO system and the time-out is extended by an hour and will now expire at 9:30. The limits on the SSO functionality do not impact the timeout limits of the individual systems listed above.
