Spray Dryer

The Spray Dryer result screens are available if Lime Spray Dryer has been selected for SO2 Control under Post-Combustion Controls on the PC Plant Design screen. These screens display flows and costs related to the Spray Dryer SO2 control technology. Since it is not currently possible to select both Wet FGD and Lime Spray Dryer, these screens will always be displayed directly under SO2 Control .

A spray dryer is sometimes used instead of a wet scrubber because it provides simpler waste disposal and can be installed with lower capital costs.
