The Wash Column & Absorber result screen shows the major flows into and out of the wash column in the Deep Carbon Capture option of the amine CO2 control system in PC and NGCC plants:

PC: GET RESULTS: CO2 Capture, Transport & Storage: 1. Amine System: Wash Column & Absorber
The following values are shown:
•Area 1: Treated Flue Gas Entering the Wash Column:
•Flue Gas In: The mass flow rate of the flue gas entering the wash column.
•Temperature In: The temperature of the flue gas entering the wash column.
•Area 2: Wash Column Performance:
•Wash Column Cooling Duty: The amount of heat that a wash column removes from the treated flue gas stream out of the absorber, which condenses the MEA vapor.
•Process Absorption Packing Volume: The total volume of packing materials for absorption.
•Process Stripping Packing Volume: The total volume of packing materials for stripping.
•Number of Absorber Intercoolers: The total number of intercoolers for absorption.
•Absorber Intercooler Cooling Duty: The amount of reaction heat rejected by intercoolers from the solvent solution to decrease the temperature and then enhance the CO2 removal efficiency.
•Area 3: Flue Gas Exiting the Wash Column:
•Flue Gas Out: The volumetric flow rate of the flue gas exiting the wash column.
•Temperature Out: The temperature of the flue gas exiting the wash column.
