K-12 Adapted Physical Education Endorsement

An endorsement in Adapted Physical Education for Wyoming Public Schools is available to individuals who have completed or are in the process of completing a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education Teacher Education.

In addition to the coursework required for a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education Teacher Education from the University of Wyoming, an individual must complete the following courses for an endorsement in adapted physical education in Wyoming:

  • EDEX 2484: (3 credits) Introduction to Special Education (preferably to be taken along with undergraduate coursework)
  • KIN 4065: (3 credits) Resources in Adapted Physical Education (preferably to be taken along with undergraduate coursework)
  • KIN 4075: (3 credits) Assessment in Adapted Physical Education (preferably to be taken when teaching)

Individuals who have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education Teacher Education at another institution may be required to complete additional coursework as determined through a transcript analysis.
