THE VIRTUAL EDGE: Lab 9 Control of Microbial Growth II

Effectiveness of Hand Washing

Procedure

Hands, particularly fingertips, are important mechanical vectors for transmission of many diseases.  The need to use good hygiene to prevent the spread of disease is important for all of us, but especially for individuals in food service and health professions.  In today's lab, the effectiveness of “old-fashion” hand soap and antibacterial hand soap will be tested and compared.
