Error Screens

There are a few situations that can cause a major failure in the model. If one of these occurs, the first "Technology" in the GET RESULTS Program Area will be "--- ERRORS ---". The following situations can produce an error:

Fuel Properties (currently Pulverized Coal (PC) plants only)

Low Primary Fuel Higher Heating Value (HHV) - PC plants allow the use of fuel blends, along with some fuels that are not suitable for use as the only fuel. The Fuel parameter screens warn that at least 60% coal should be used, but if this warning is not heeded, in extreme cases, the HHV may be too low for the model to be able to function correctly.

Pipeline Transport (all plant types)

Low CO2 Pipeline Transport Inlet Pressure: The Pipeline Transport model requires a minimum inlet pressure in order to function. In some cases, particularly when a CO2 capture system is configured without a CO2 product compressor, the inlet pressure may be too low.
