Q: Did you ever attend college?

A: Yes. I received a B.A. from SUNY Buffalo State, a master's from the University of Montana, and a Ph.D. from the University of Wyoming College of Education.

Q: Do you have any other expertise?

A: You might be surprised to know that I am a blacksmith and horse shoer trained at the Montana State University Horseshoeing School. I also was a ski and snowboard instructor.

Q: Did you ever work for a newspaper?

A: My first newspaper job was at the Havre Daily News where I was a reporter and editor for one year. I then worked for 11 years at the Bozeman Daily Chronicle. Both papers are in Montana.

Q: Did you ever work in public relations?

A: Yes. I was an editorial assistant for Bikecentennial in Missoula, Mont., and a feature writer for the University of Montana News Service. I also produce the department newsletter at UW and am the department's Webmaster.
