I'm a faculty member in the Botany Department and the Wyoming Geographic Information Science Center (WyGISC). I'm an adjunct faculty in the Department of Ecosystem Science & Management (ESM) and the Science & Math Teaching Center (SMTC).

Outreach & education activities are aimed at promoting remote sensing science and applications at all levels (K-12, future and current workforce, farmers and ranchers, and government agencies).
Earth Observation Day Activities:
Earth Observation Day is an AmericaView sponsored activity with the "goal is to engage students and teachers in remote sensing as an exciting and powerful educational tool." Please visit AmericaView website for additional information about this activity.

- Abigail Whitman, 6th grade, Snowy Range Academy. Abigail studies how rain altered the urban heat island effect. She won the third place in the Junior Earth & Planetary Sciences category, and was also awarded the NCAR Certificate of Achievement in the Junior Category.
