IECM 12.0 beta User Manual > Using the IECM > The IECM Interface > Creating and Opening Sessions > Opening an Existing Session > Choose a Session |
|
The right side of the Open Session dialog contains a list of the sessions in the selected database:
Sessions in the NETL Case 11 and 12 Database
The list of sessions contains two columns:
•Lock: An asterisk in this column means that the session is Read-Only. This means that you cannot save any changes back to the original session. You may still change the session; however you will need to use Save As if you want to save those changes.
In the case shown above, the sessions are all read-only because the database is read-only. A session may also be read-only because it is already open. If a session is not closed properly, you may need to manually unlock it.
•Session: The name of the session.
Clicking the Read Only checkbox under the session list will force the selected session(s) to be opened read-only.
Click on the session you want to open. You can select multiple sessions, as long as they are in the same database. To select a contiguous region, click the session at one end, then press and hold the Shift key while clicking (Shift-Click) the session at the other end. You can also select or deselect individual sessions using Ctrl-Click.
When you have selected the session(s) you want to open, click the Ok button in the upper right corner to open them.
