Animal Science Graduate Program
The Animal Science Department at the University of Wyoming offers a diverse and dynamic graduate program. Faculty advisors mentor students across a range of disciplines, including animal genetics, beef and sheep production, reproductive biology, nutrition, muscle biology, and food safety. Whether pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree, students gain strong scientific training and develop specialized skills for future careers. State-of-the-art laboratories, livestock facilities, and the UW Meat Lab provide valuable hands-on opportunities for conducting innovative research.

- Applicants should have at least a 3.000 cumulative GPA (scale of 4.000).
- Including rigorous science-based coursework, undergraduate research/laboratory experience/career experience, and/or previous completion of the GRE (with recently expired scores).
- If GRE scores are submitted, minimal GRE scores, consistent with university requirements, are 150 verbal and 141 quantitative for MS and 153 verbal and 144 quantitative for PhD.
