State funded graduate assistantships (GA) are available to UW Anthropology MA and PhD students.
MA students on a departmental GA receive $11,349 stipend for 9 months and all tuition and fees covered. UW Anthropology often awards half-time GA positions to MA students based on availability; students on a half-time GA receive $5,674.50 for 9 months plus half of tuition and fees covered.
A state-funded graduate assistantship for PhD students is currently $15,795 plus full tuition remission. PhD students are guaranteed two years of full support, and do not have the half-time GA position option.
