Dr. Ali H. Raddaoui

Head Arabic Instructor Project GO | Arabic & MENA Studies | SPPAIS

About Me

I hold a Ph.D. from Indiana University in Bloomington. I am the designer and lead instructor for the 2022 Arabic Project GO at the University of Wyoming. I am a Fulbright Scholar and a mission-oriented, vision-driven, Arab-American researcher and teaching practitioner with an intercultural outlook gained from extended exposure to educational systems in North Africa, the Middle East, the UK, and the USA. I am a former associate professor and Arabic Program Director at the University of Wyoming. As a trained applied linguist, I have an active research agenda and extensive experience teaching English, Arabic, and French to Speakers of Other Languages. My research interests include best practices in language learning and teaching, the interface of learning and technology, and program design. I have led two immersive Arabic STARTALK institutes at the University of Wyoming and contributed to designing an immersion experience for EFL students overseas. For me, teaching is synergizing pedagogy and technology to create communicative, collaborative, engaging, and eye-opening learner experiences. I am the owner and founder of a language solutions enterprise called IdiomOptima, providing online tutoring, translation, editing/ proofreading, research, and consulting services.
