Alexandra Ziegler is the Curator of Academic Engagement at the University of Wyoming Art Museum. Born and raised on Oahu, Hawaii, she comes to Wyoming from North Carolina, where she trained as an art historian and museum educator. She has over a decade of experience teaching in both university and museum settings, with a focus on object-based learning and interdisciplinary collaboration. Prior to her arrival in Wyoming, she taught courses in Art History at UNC Chapel Hill and UNC Wilmington. She also worked as a Graduate Educator and Object-Based Teaching Fellow (2018-2019) at the Ackland Art Museum, where she first discovered her passion for museum education. Alex feels strongly about making the academic and museum worlds more accessible and encouraging collaborations between the two. She couldn’t be more excited to be at the UW Art Museum!
