Andy Warhol: 10 Clips

January 31, 2026 - December 23, 2026

In 1981, Andy Warhol visited Colorado State University (CSU) for the opening of an exhibition featuring his prints, along with a series of related events, all of which were documented by a video team. To accompany the exhibitions Andy Warhol: 15 Prints and Andy Warhol: 99 Photos at the UW Art Museum, Andy Warhol: 10 Clips is a series of short film segments that offer slices of Warhol’s visit to Fort Collins, including a roundtable discussion with art collectors and CSU administrators, an interview at the exhibition opening, and a video portrait of Warhol’s reactions to the agriculture department’s bull semen collection.

Snippets of conversations about art, technology, and culture reveal Warhol’s disinterest in discussing his own artistic production, and his enthusiasm for the latest devices and high-end watches. Seen alongside Warhol’s works on view in the gallery, these video segments provide context as much as commentary: they situate Warhol less as a distant icon than as a curious, media-savvy figure navigating a moment when art, technology, and celebrity were becoming increasingly intertwined.
