Andy Warhol: 99 Photos

June 20, 2026 – December 23, 2026

Bringing together 99 photos by Pop Art icon Andy Warhol from the collections of the University of Wyoming Art Museum and the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art at Colorado State University, this exhibition explores how these works came to reside at the two institutions. It also celebrates major gifts from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts in 2008 and 2014, highlighting the lasting impact of those donations.

The featured photographs span the 1970s and 1980s, exemplifying Warhol’s practice of keeping a camera close at hand to capture candid images and staged portraits alike. The breadth of his photographic output demonstrates ranging interests and reflects his fascination with celebrity, everyday life, and the blurred boundaries between art, commerce, and popular culture. These photographic works complement the museum’s spring exhibition, Andy Warhol: 15 Prints and the concurrent film installation Andy Warhol: 10 Clips. See the world through Warhol’s lens in Andy Warhol: 99 Photos.
