Step Into a Degree That Explores the World

Where big questions meet real-world career pathways.

UW’s Anthropology program combines strong academic training with hands-on experience across archaeology, biological, cultural, and linguistic anthropology. Through field work, research projects, and lab opportunities, students build practical skills in research, analysis, communication, and cultural understanding.

Because anthropology spans so many areas, our graduates enter diverse career fields. UW alumni are employed in cultural resource management, government agencies, higher education, nonprofits, and many other sectors. Common pathways include research roles, policy and community work, education, public health, and cultural heritage.
