Greetings Staff and Faculty of the College of Arts and Sciences,
I hope your week has gone well and you’ve had a chance to get out and enjoy the nice weather.
Next week I will attend the college staff meeting to hear thoughts on the staff reorganization that is being led by human resources and they are calling a “case for change.” I will answer any questions I am able to answer and learn ideas and perspective from our college staff.
There are many exciting things happening for graduate students in the Psychology Department. Congratulations to the 2024 Stewart Family Serviceship Award recipients Theresa Andrzejewski, Kate Breitenfeldt, and Alison Tassone for their upcoming summer partnership they developed with the Developmental Preschool and Day Care Center and Albany County School District. The purpose of this award is to honor those who, through their service, make a significant contribution to their community.
Additionally, congratulations to Jaylan Aliev and Christopher Cannon. Aliev has been awarded an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, and Cannon has earned the John P. Ellbogen Outstanding Graduate Assistant Teaching Award. Well done to these students!
Have a great weekend.
Most Sincerely,
J. Scott Turpen
