Greetings Staff and Faculty of the College of Arts and Sciences,
It has been so great to welcome everyone back to campus this week. I have really enjoyed catching up with students, staff, and faculty as I see them walking across campus. The weather has been as great as the conversations.

There is a link to submit your event. Developing this events page was a suggestion from our undergraduate advisory group last year. We are working hard to listen to our students’ input. Thanks to Michaela Jones for putting this together.
This week I attended an Industry Engagement Council meeting. This committee is formed to advance UW’s connections to industry partners in the state and region. A&S can, and should, have connections to corporations. There are many advantages to developing these relationships including: student internships, student career opportunities, donor relationships, among others. If you have thoughts on furthering corporate connections, please reach out to me or your department head.
