Greetings Staff and Faculty of the College of Arts and Sciences,
I hope your summer is off to a great start, although the cool weather remains in Laramie for now. I even saw SNOW recently.
Commencement was a joyous occasion a couple weeks ago. I was honored to shake the hands of hundreds of new College of Arts and Sciences alumni. We look forward to keeping in touch with them as they launch their new lives and careers. It was nice to see such a strong turnout of faculty for the event.
Following graduation, I traveled to New York City for several days of meetings with A&S alumni and stakeholders. It’s always fun to hear from folks and share the good work of our college far and wide. The trip was very productive.
Today I am traveling to Sheridan to perform a recital at the Neltje Center with some of my colleagues from the music department. Yes, I still get to practice some saxophone these days. I look forward to making some music with friends and also highlight the breadth of offerings and opportunities from the Neltje Center.
Please enjoy the long holiday weekend.
Most sincerely,
J. Scott Turpen
