Dean's Weekly Address

Greetings Staff and Faculty of the College of Arts and Sciences,

I hope you’ve been enjoying the recent warm weather—it’s felt like a heat wave here in Laramie! It’s certainly a welcome change as we make our way through the spring semester.

I’d like to extend a congratulations to Dr. Zoe Pearson, who has received a Flittie Award in support of her sabbatical next year. This is a well-deserved recognition of her academic contributions.

Over the course of the last week or so, I met with the Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology, as well as the Debate Team. Both groups had a very successful Giving Day this year, demonstrating their commitment to competition and rallying support for their programs—congratulations to all involved!

Faculty hiring remains an important focus, and I continue to meet with candidates as we work to bring outstanding scholars and educators to our campus. These conversations reinforce the exciting future ahead for the College of Arts and Sciences.

Thank you all for your hard work so far this semester.

Sincerely,

Adrienne Freng
