Greetings Staff and Faculty of the College of Arts & Sciences,

This month has been busy with travel, including meetings with alumni, donors, and stakeholders. I have also spent some time visiting with folks in Cheyenne. It’s always rewarding to share our college's work with the wider community. My recent meetings with all A&S departments have provided valuable insights as I continue to meet with various groups.

The A&S student advisory council continues to offer valuable input on our college. A recent outcome of these discussions is the launch of a new A&S Student Newsletter, which will be shared most months during the academic year. This newsletter addresses students' desire for better communication within our large college.

I've been attending as many A&S events as my schedule allows. Recently, I participated in Cindy Price-Schultz's lecture on her sabbatical and a public humanities event hosted by the English department. At noon today, I'll attend a lecture delivered by former diplomat and Senior Fellow at the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs, Hanscom Smith, hosted by the School of Politics, Public Affairs & International Studies.

Keep up the great work and thank you for everything you do.

Sincerely,

J. Scott Turpen
