Greetings Staff and Faculty of the College of Arts and Sciences,

As finals week comes to a close and we prepare for graduation this weekend, I want to thank each of you for the care and dedication you have brought to the College of Arts and Sciences throughout this academic year.

The final weeks of the semester are always demanding, and I know how much effort goes into supporting our students through advising, grading, mentoring, research supervision, event planning, and the many other responsibilities that often happen behind the scenes.

Additionally, throughout the past year, we have celebrated remarkable achievements across the college, ranging from outstanding teaching and research to student success, creative activity, and meaningful community impact. None of that happens without the talent, collaboration, and commitment of our staff and faculty, and I'm deeply grateful for all you contribute to this college each day.

Tomorrow, we will have the opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates. The ceremony for graduate students will take place at 12:30 p.m., followed by the College of Arts and Sciences undergraduate ceremony at 3:30 p.m. I look forward to seeing many of you there. Additional information about the schedule can be found at the UW Commencement website.

As the academic year ends, I hope you take pride in everything you've accomplished and find time this summer to recharge.

Thank you again for all you do for the College of Arts and Sciences and for our students. I'm honored to work alongside all of you.

Happy graduation and enjoy your summer.
