Carolyn Pepper

Carolyn Pepper began her appointment as an Associate Dean in the College of Arts & Sciences in 2024. After starting her academic career at Binghamton University in 1997, she joined the UW Psychology Department in 2002 where she served as a faculty member, Department Chair, and Director of the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Training program. Her research focuses on self-injurious behaviors and she maintains an active lab studying suicide in the Mountain West and nonsuicidal self-injury. As a licensed clinical psychologist, she teaches courses on evidence-based psychotherapy and supervises graduate students in their clinical and research training. She also serves on the Wyoming Board of Psychology and the Wyoming Alliance for Suicide Prevention.
