Foodie Finds at the University of Wyoming

The best bites around campus

Finding a good place to pick me up between classes, snacks for study sessions, or a place to grab a bite to eat with friends is one of the most important things there is in college (if you minus getting good grades). That’s why my favorite thing about the University of Wyoming campus is all our food options, because if you’re anything like me, getting hangry is not an option. Here are some of my favorite on campus eats that always keep me satiated and coming back for more.

The Dining Center at North Hall

The Dining Center is the one place on campus where you will be able to find anything you could be craving. Serving as UW’s main eatery on campus, especially for all our freshmen in the dorms, you can always count on The Dining Center for a great bite to eat. Offering foods of all kinds from a variety of cultures and food for all dietary restrictions. This is the spot on campus where you can find it all (including desserts!). You can always count on leaving the dining hall stuffed, whether that’s from one plate, two, or even three!

Panda Express

When I’m craving something quick but still filling, I’m heading straight for Panda Express located in the Union. Whether I’m picking up lunch between classes, or dinner after a long day, it’s hard to beat a bowl of Orange Chicken and chow mien. The portions are generous, the service moves fast, and there are so many choices you’re able to mix and match depending on what your mood is!

Chick-fil-A

What a campus classic! An eight-count nugget meal never fails to push me through the rest of my day. Located right in the Union, it’s so convenient to swing by and grab something to eat. Whether it’s lunch between classes or dinner with friends, Chic-Fil-A remains a campus favorite to everyone.

Cowboy Joe’s Convenience Store

Cowboy Joe’s is your one stop shop for snacks and drinks galore. Whether you need a quick snack or a complete candy restock, CJs has you covered for all your snack needs. You’re even able to get sushi from Nikos! Which as an east coast girl, I really appreciate. Located right in the Union, it’s the perfect place to make a quick stop on your way to class or back home.

Rolling Mill Café

Don’t have time to drive all the way to Starbucks, don’t worry, Rolling Mill in the Union has you covered. Serving delicious Starbucks coffee and even more delicious paninis it’s the perfect place to grab a light bite and beverage to kick off your day.

Einstein Bros.

If breakfast is your favorite meal of the day, or you just need caffeine ASAP, Einstein Bros. Bagels in the Enzi STEM building has you covered. Their bagels are always fresh, and their breakfast sandwiches are to die for. I usually grab an All Nighter Bagel Sandwich with a Caramel Macchiato before my morning classes and it always gets me ready to take on the day.

Elements Café

Welcome to the heart of the Classroom Building, Elements Cafe. Serving the most delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches, salads, and coffees, this is the home of the Bucks Breakfast sandwich. Which in my opinion, is the best breakfast sandwich you will ever have! Elements is the perfect place to stop before or after those early morning classes.

Bucking hOrse Bakery

Bucking Horse Bakery located in North Hall, northwest entrance, features coffee, pastries, cake and more! For some of the best baked goods you’ll find on campus, the Bucking Horse Bakery is definitely worth a pit stop in your day. You can enjoy a quiet, comfy atmosphere while you work or grab it to go.

Located in Coe Library with Peet’s brand coffee, this is the perfect place to grab a coffee or frappe for all your library study sessions. For long haul exam crams you can grab a Rebull, pastry, or tea to keep you going!

Encore Café

Encore Café in the Buchanan Center serves Jackrabbit Java beverages, as well as paninis and soups, for a quick boost between classes or before a show. If you’re ever in the mood to get your steps in, I would highly recommend heading over to Encore Cafe for super cozy vibes and yummy coffee!

Pokes Pub

Okay, this one’s a little different, but if you’re 21+ and need a place to chill, Pokes Pub in the Union is awesome. They have locally brewed beers, seltzers, and fantastic cocktails. With the Game Hubs Billiards and Ping Pong tables right next to the bar it’s perfect for winding down after a busy day with your friends. And if you’re not 21 yet, there’s no need to worry, they have mocktails and sodas to make sure you have just as much fun.
