Greg holds two degrees from the University of Wyoming in Accounting, 1977, and Law, 1980. He has served as an adjunct professor in the UW College of Law on four occasions, teaching creditors' rights and bankruptcy. He enjoys a broad business law practice, including transactional law, real estate, banking law, creditors' rights and bankruptcy, corporate law and non-profit law, among many others. He is a frequent presenter for professional continuing education topics in business law and non-profit law.
Professional honors include the highest honors from peer-selected Martindale Hubbell, Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America/US News, and Rocky Mountain Super Lawyers. He has written several chapters for national publications concerning various aspects of Wyoming business law. Greg instructed business law portions of local Wyoming bar exam preparation courses for over 25 years until Wyoming adopted the Uniform Bar Exam in 2015.
Greg has served on numerous community and regional boards, including current service on four boards at UW—College of Business Advisory Board (2016-present—Chairman, 2018-2020), UW Foundation Board (2003-2012, Emeritus Board Member 2012-present; Secretary 2006-2008; vice-chair 2008-2010; chairman 2010-2012), UW College of Law Dean's Advisory Board (founding member, 2002-present), UW College of Arts and Sciences Board of Visitors (1997-present—Chairman, 2001-2007). Other board service includes Cheyenne LEADS (economic development board, 2012-2020, Chair 2018-19), Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra (1981-87; 2004-present—President 2007-2009), Adventure West Council, Boy Scouts of America (1996-present, President 2006-07).
A 2025 University of Wyoming Medallion Service Award winner, Greg is also a Distinguished Alum of the University of Wyoming (2012), the College of Business (2014) and the College of Law (2016). He received the Daniels Fund/Wyoming Heritage Foundation Ethical Leadership Award in 2018. He was named Person of the Year by the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce in 2008 and was awarded the Community Spirit Award by the Wyoming Tribune Eagle in 2014 and the Wyoming Community Foundation Spirit of Philanthropy Award in 2024. He was recognized as an Outstanding Eagle Scout by the National Eagle Scout Association in 2017. He is the current Immediate Past President of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers. Greg was an inaugural inductee to the Wyoming Debate Hall of Fame in 2009. His dedication to Cheyenne and the State of Wyoming runs deep.
