2024 Overview
As a contractor in the State of Wyoming, you receive a yearly Prevailing Wage Survey (PWS). COMPLETING THE PREVAILING WAGE SURVEY IS A REQUIREMENT TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR STATE BID-PREFERENCE LAWS.
Steps
- Choose the correct survey for your industry: building construction & heavy/highway. More on which survey to take
- Download the survey (available in both an Excel and PDF format) — see links on this page
- Both survey versions require employment information for construction in Wyoming over the September 2023 - August 2024 reporting period.
- Fill out the survey and turn it in by:

Which Survey Do I Take?
BUILDING CONSTRUCTION if your firm's work involves non-residential building, erection, renovation and/or associated construction activities. Such work includes private and public projects in the State of Wyoming during the specified period.
HEAVY/HIGHWAY if your firm's work involves civil constructions and includes: road, dam, canal and bridge construction, other heavy earth-moving projects, and energy sector projects such as pipelines in the State of Wyoming during the specified period.
Firms that have done both types of construction work should fill out the survey for the type of work they did most often from Sept 2023 - Aug 2024.
Contractors who manage multiple construction entities that worked in Wyoming should complete a survey for each separate firm. Firms that operate under several names only need to complete one survey and list all the names they operate as in STEP 1 of the survey.
