The Ahn Research Group addresses critical challenges in energy systems by deepening fundamental understanding and developing innovative approaches through the discovery of novel materials, advanced characterization techniques, and data-driven methodologies.
We primarily focus on electrochemical energy storage technologies, investigating battery materials and systems for lithium-ion, sodium-ion, and solid-state batteries. Our research activities include material synthesis, advanced characterization using synchrotron X-ray techniques, microscopy, and analytical tools, as well as evaluation of battery performance.
