I have the pleasure of teaching many of the core chemical engineering courses at the University of Wyoming. I am often the instructor for the Introduction to Chemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering Fluids, Techno-Economic Analysis, Process Simulation and Design, and Senior Design courses. In my classes, I like to show students how the material ties together with other courses and with applications that they can expect as they move through their engineering careers. I am a big fan of the evidence-based educational methods associated with the general term "active learning". These techniques include group projects and presentations, interactive class activities, and problem-based learning. I enjoy sponsoring summer internships for course credit and encourage a study-abroad experience for chemical engineering students. I have the privilege of being the faculty advisor for the UW student chapter of AIChE.
